What is Upward?
Upward Sports is a faith based program to help children learn the reality of God through the fundamentals of basketball and cheer. Signups and evaluations begin in the fall while the practices and games operate weekly during January to March of the following year. Our program is run from Kindergarten to 10th grade.
When are tryouts?
No Tryouts! ALL are welcome but we do require each basketball player to be evaluated so we can attempt to make the teams as even as possible. Cheerleaders do not need to be evaluated.
Grades K-6 evaluation:
Oct 15th or 17th from 6-7:30PM
Walk-in session and parent meeting
Grades 7-10 evaluation:
Oct 22 or 24th, 6-7:30PM
Students must attend full time session and a parent meeting.

How much does it cost?
Cost is just $85 per participant which includes a uniform, an end of season gift, and closing ceremony entertainment.
When does it start?
While evaluations are in October, our season begins in January. More information about dates will be provided in the parent meeting.

Cancellation of the 25-26 Upward Basketball & Cheerleading Season
With prayerful consideration, we want to share that Fellowship Baptist Church will NOT be hosting the 2025–2026 Upward Basketball and Cheerleading season.
This ministry has been such a blessing to our church and community over the years. We are deeply grateful for every child and family who has participated, as well as for the many coaches, referees, cheerleading leaders, prayer partners, and volunteers who have faithfully given their time, energy, and love to make each season possible.
Though this decision was not made lightly, we know the impact of this program will continue through the lessons learned, friendships built, and seeds of faith planted in the hearts of so many.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for being a part of Upward with us. We praise God for all He has done through this ministry, and we look forward to seeing how He will continue to use our church to serve our community in the future.
