How it all started...
Fellowship was started as a mission under the direction of the First Baptist Church of Affton in the summer of 1948. For the first few years the church met in several local schools in the Murphy/High Ridge area. In the summer of 1950 construction began on a new building in High Ridge and the first services were held in December of the same year. Over the next 50 years, Fellowship built extensions and additions as God blessed and grew the church.
Expanding the vision...
Over the years Fellowship has undergone extensions, additions, and remodels as God has continued to bless and grow the church. In 1972, Fellowship expanded by building a new sanctuary and remodeling the original building into a children's area. In 1999, Fellowship finished the addition of the Family Life Center which included a new kitchen, cafe, classrooms, and a full size gym. Just in the past 3 years, nearly every square inch of the facility, inside and out, has been given a face lift!
Where we are headed...
We've had a great and rich history, but we are working toward a Fellowship for the future! In 2019, after a 10-year decline in attendance, the church entered a season of revitalization. With a new missional focus and a desire to engage our community, Fellowship began to grow. Though the buildings, faces, schedules, and music have changed, the foundational truths of God’s Word have not. We are excited about this new chapter and hope you will consider being a part of it!
