Our Story

How it all started...

Fellowship was started as a mission under the direction of the First Baptist Church of Affton, in the summer of 1948. The first meetings were held in the basement of the High Ridge Elementary School and then later moved to the old Bowles Schoolhouse on Old Sugar Creek Road near Murphy, Missouri.
In June of 1950, they held their groundbreaking ceremony for its new building in High Ridge. The building was occupied on December 17 of the same year.

Expanding the vision...

Over the years Fellowship has undergone extensions, additions, and remodels as God has continued to bless and grow the church. In 1972, Fellowship expanded by building a new sanctuary and remodeling the original building into a children's area. In 1999, Fellowship finished the addition of the Family Life Center which included a new kitchen, cafe, classrooms, and a full size gym. Just in the past 3 years, nearly every square inch of the facility, inside and out, has been given a face lift!

Where we are headed...

We've had a great and rich history but we are working toward a Fellowship for the future. It is our desire to see Fellowship grow but most importantly, our desire is to see the Gospel grow in our community. That is why we are focused on not looking inward to see what Fellowship needs but rather looking outward to see how we can help the community! We are making intentional efforts to reach out to those around us so that we can give them what they truly need, the Good News of Jesus!
